When we think of becoming our own boss, the ideal situation is having some sense of freedom, to go a round or two with democracy and see if you can dominate it, but the thing about freedom is that it is free, but it is not cheap. So what does YANG TOLO stands for, you might be curious.

For over a year now we've been building Black Atmosphere with our ideas and creativity that came with a lot of doubts about whether it will make it and I was wearing different hats all the time, the owner who develops, markets, sales, and designs digital products and services.

I understand that it is hard to trust what is authentic or dangerous on the internet, especially when you have to pay for it. So the digital products I created were welcomed with some resistance regardless of our website being Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant (https).

A website that is PCI compliant means that whatever information that you put on the site, it gets encrypted before it is sent to the owners, making it hard for other ISP and computer nodes in the middle of our communication to see what you submit to us. And we are, at our most authentic way, going to use that information to fulfill our service contract to you, your data will be used to provide support to you, or we will escrow it to a reputable escrow agent mutually approved by Black Atmosphere and you.

At Black Atmosphere we are unwilling to be yet another next generation of black people excluded from innovating on our terms and being part of the global political debates that affect us more than we care to admit, we only live once and if we do it right, once is enough.

We act locally, but we think globally. A colleague from my previous employment who seemed to be concerned with dissecting my mind and cracking my "encryption" once said I should stop making things about myself. I am thankful for that advice.

So what is Black Atmosphere?

It's not about us, it's about managing digital assets and exchanging their value on the internet, managing our creative works that can be digitized and selecting which ones do we monetize. We are quickly learning that we shouldn't trade our time for money, spending hours writing proposals, no, we should focus on building a scalable business that will manage the digitizing, automating, and monetizing of our content.

At Black Atmosphere we have the time, we are committed, and we have the drive to take your creativity and get it out there to the internet where it can end up paying you while you are busy pursuing other plans.
