Joburg

I often hear people speak of Johannesburg (also known as Joburg or Jozi by the locals) as if it is a creepy place where only monster human beings live in. Honestly there is more to 'Jozi' than what people are letting on. Yes it is a very dangerous place to live in but it also a nice place to gain experience from. There are new experiences everyday and those can either be good or bad since we meet different people and not everyone will be nice to you. Someone once told me and I quote "if you have never been mugged in Jozi, then you have never experienced the bad side of it and consider yourself lucky." Yes... Joburg is a very dangerous place, people get caught up in things that have nothing to do with them like corruption, crime and scams, even murder. You could get yourself killed because of small things like bumping into someone or refusing to give someone your cellphone, but that's joburg for you.
