An ideal world

We live in world of great sorrow, greed, starvation and inequality... to list a few. A world where as individuals we are often told that we have no power to change the world we live in and should thus live through its predicaments. Although this may be somewhat true, people do have enough power to induce those in power to make a difference. This can be done in various ways that I believe you're all familiar of.
Aren't the two skills equally needed? Can we safely say we can have one over the other? Why are teachers (of all calibers) paid so little and doctors so much? When the teacher is the one that taught the present doctor the basics in all that they now know? Why are employed people living from hand to mouth, struggling to put their children through school, to put decent meals on the table and live under inhumane environments? All while waking up daily to go to work?
Why are street sweepers and rubbish collectors slapped with insulting pay cheques when without them the dirt gathering would be hazardous for everyone?
I am not suggesting that everyone be given a Maserati. But give people enough to go on instead of insults and melancholy. Having an education is important, but it shouldn't matter that one can do his job without a degree. Although it will be hard to reach such a state, we have a voice and if we clamor enough it will not fall on deaf ears. Those in power will be enlivened to take action for the best.
