Why is it important to start your own business at some point?

Have you thought about starting a business but didn’t have a plan, strategy, or a mindset to even know where to begin? That has been me and one of the biggest things that held me back from starting early was that I wanted things to be perfect, I wanted to know anything and everything before taking a chance. Today all I can tell you is that you should learn along the way, don’t let the fear of the unknown stop you.

There’s a story related to this I want to share with you;

Some soldiers were captured in war and were given opportunity to choose between facing a firing squad or going through a door labeled UNKNOWN HORRORS. All the soldiers not knowing the kind of horrors behind this door chose to face the firing squad. An observer at this camp asked the chief executioner what lay behind this door.

He replied FREEDOM - If anyone had chosen to go through that door he would have walked directly and painlessly into freedom, yet men are naturally afraid of risks and uncertainties. They would rather live with the so called devil they know than with the angel they do not know. In 2018 only the brave and daring and adventurous will win. Tradition will not win. Those who trusted in job security are now facing the truth that there is no such thing. You will need to choose between financial freedom and security. You may need to switch businesses. Don't say, this is the business I understand. Those who stuck to repairing typewriters when computers started flooding the market are losers today. Be attentive to know when God is asking you to move. Don't let fear of the unknown hold you down.

If you look around there are a lot trends going on about investing and trading crypto-currency, forex trading, online betting, and all kinds of opportunities that promise a quick way to make money.

Personally I don't agree with the inclination of investing in other people's concepts unless of course you know the person personally and can attest to their work ethic,tenacity and dedication as well as their business accuman and ethics. I discourage people from investing in franchises rather start your own business from ground level and gradually build the brand.
